Morning Spring Light

Slowly easing over a sleeping horizon
the sun starts its journey earlier each day
Where once I drove in semi darkness
I feel the announcement of spring in its rays

A glimmer of hope, of new beginnings
as the sun heralds the start of the Spring
and where there was lethargy, tiredness and darkness
we beckon the sun to bring new life within.

The climbing of bulbs in their darkened soil
fanfares of buds on stems and the trees
These are the signs of the new cycle arriving
and a warmth in the air that brings warmth to the breeze.
